Theivery

Chase stared at the Sky Tower, just outside the limits of the senors. She took a deep breath, knowing very well she was sentencing herself to death. Calmly, she flitted off behind a building, out of sight, and morphed into an Irimote Wild Cat, small and inconspicuous. Casually, she trotted stealthily down the street, along the buildings. Once she passed the line of sensors, she knew she did. The sensors went crazy. Before everyone heard it, she did, and she took off at an all out sprint. Someone was opening the door, and seemed to notice her. Right away they went to close the door before she could get in, but she turned into a white tiger, and leaped. She crashed into the man, and the door, shattering it. She landed, and ran, sprinting, then turning into a White Eagle. She wasn't here to kill herself, she was here to steal documents on herself, containing more than too much information on her. She flew down the hall ways, hearing voices and footsteps behind her.

Drew looked up at the sound of yelling. His hand instantly went to his gun as he shot from his chair and into the hall. Great, he thought seeing he was in the path of the bird. Calmly, well what seemed calmly, he raised his gun and shot the bird. In the wing, what would be it's arm if human. He shot again, his eyes narrowed, and lowered his gun. "Can you watch the door next time?" he snapped at someone, watching as only a few stopped and other tried grabbing the animal.

Isobella heard gunshots coming from inside. She morphed into an eagle and flew to the window looking in. She saw another eagle, someone shooting at the eagle, and people trying to grab the eagle. Sighing, she stayed near the edge of the window, watching.

Chase didn't see it coming. She squawked in pain, as the bullet's impact knocked her from the air. She crashed to the ground, morphing back to her human form as she hit the floor, rolling a few feet. She breathed heavily, looking at her arm, hit square right between the elbow and the shoulder, dead center shot. She put a hand over the wound, and winced. Only the Fidele had weapons strong enough to really hurt her. She took another deep breath, trying to think of some way to escape. She turned into an Irimote Cat again, and limped off, hoping to be unnoticed. She crawled into a closet, hoping that no one would look for her there. She turned human, and slumped against the wall, sliding to the ground. She clutched her arm, trying not to scream. It hurt terribly. She thought she'd have good cover there, but she didn't know her arm had bled, leaving a trail of blood for them to follow.

Isobella, still in eagle form, pecked on the window, trying to get their attention away from the blood trail and away from the other morpher. FLapping her wings, she sat on the top ledge of the window.

"Dead giveaway." Drew said, shaking his head. Though he ignored it he could hear the footsteps of other following the trail. At times he felt bad about what he did, like now. While at other times it felt necessary. He wasn't about to go help the girl, though a weak voice in the back of his head wanted him to. He left the hall, going around a corner and leaning against the wall.

"Time to go," Chase said to herself silently in a strained voice. She turned into a wolf, limping, and bolted out the closet door. Running on three legs was hard, and with the bullet in her leg, it didn't help. She saw the boy leaning on the wall ahead, and growled, stopping, ears back, eyes desperate. Would she cross him and die? She stayed to the far wall across from him, slowly moving past him, eyes on him at all times, until she heard the footsteps and voices behind her. Her head shot up, and she turned to run. Why didn't she ever remember the electric volts they shot across the hall ways like an electric fence? She went to run, and she hit one, electricity burning through her. She howled, and yelped, getting blown back a few feet from the jolt. She laid on the ground, her leg bleeding out on to the floor, covering her fur. She breathed as deeply as she could, fighting with her consciousness. She let out a high pitched whining sound, and glanced at the window, sensing the other morph. GO! she thought, and she yelped it out, but she knew as a bird she might not understand. She let her head slump against the floor, closing her eyes. Druid's Place, here I come, she though grimly.

"I got her." Drew called to everyone else. He slowly, hesitantly walked after the wolf. With a careful touch he managed to lift the wolf, steering clear of her leg, and carried her out of the building. Though he was headed there at first, he turned away from Druid's Place and towards Northern Boundary, staying out of sight. He placed her on the ground once there and turned. Without a glance back he was walking towards Line Rider Alley.

Chase coughed, and turned human, arm clutched over her chest, sitting up on her good arm. "Wait! What.... what are you doing?!" she yelled suspecting a trap. Maybe he would suddenly turn and shoot her. She blinked, feeling the five slash-scars across her right eye, running through her eyebrow, right over her eyelid, right on to her cheek. She took a deep breath. She had pretty features, and that scar ruined it.

"Saving one life." Drew called back. He turned to look at her, arms crossed. He was tense, incredibly tense. He hated being in these lands, and his right hand drifted to his gun as he heard the loud call of an eagle over head. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, now just wanting to leave.

Chase merely stared at him. "Why would you save me? An Embrayage? A creature, a monster," she spat the words with distaste. She saw him reach for his gun, and she cringed back, taking a deep breath. She stood up slowly, still holding her arm. She was no doctor, and their weren't any doctors that would treat an Embrayage.

Drew didn't answer. He took a step back, beginning to turn and walk towards Line Rider Alley yet again. His eyes constantly scanned the area around him for anything at all as he walked. His hand still lingered on his gun as he glanced back at the girl.

Chase took a chance, and slowly morphed into a wolf, her five scars turning into one. Slowly, she limped after him, looking at him pleadingly. If he had let her live this long, he most likely wasn't going to kill her. Her body trembled slightly, and she studdered in her walk, nearly falling to the dirt. She straightened up slightly, still staring at him.

Drew turned towards her, eyebrow raised. "What?" he asked, the tension in his voice heavy. He shifted his weight again, glancing at her leg. His eyes wandered to the sky before he kneeled down. "Can you be human please?" he sighed, raising an eyebrow and gently taking her arm/leg in his hand.

Chase held her leg up, like a dog 'giving paw'. She looked at the sky like, 'what the heck am I doing?', before she closed her eyes, and turned human. The transfer hurt her arm slightly, and she let out a slight whimper. She ran her free hand through her hair, wincing. "You damn Fidele. Why can't you just leave us alone? What did we ever do to you! We never even harmed you, we lived just like you, yet you just begin killing us off when we never do anything!" she said quietly, not really trying to sound like she was going to attack him or something. She opened her eyes and stared him straight in the face, not afriad, defiance.

"Listen I'm helping you. A Embrayage. Can you be at least somewhat grateful. I hate this more than you do." Drew grumbled. He used the bottom of his shirt, since he didn't have a gauze, to wrap the wound after taking the bullet out. He rolled his eyes as he got to his feet and turned to walk away. "Damn Embrayage." he breathed as he walked off.

"Heard that," she called back, turning wolf, and following him, limping slightly. She steadied her pace, even if it hurt. Now she felt like annoying him. She had a death wish anyway. She was hard headed with a death wish, you couldn'tg et any worse than that.

"What do you want?" Drew snapped, still walking. His pace increased in speed, almost unnoticeable. Tension and annoyance were only two of the many feeling that were pulsing through him. His hand was still placed on his gun as he glanced back at the wolf, though he wasn't going to shoot her.

Chase stopped, and let out a high pitched whining noise. She took a step towards him, sniffing his hand that was on his gun. She sat by his leg, and cocked her head, rubbing her head on his leg once, before staringat him. She let out another high pitched whining noise.

Drew stopped and looked down at her, arms crossed. "You know this isn't right." he stated coldly, still tense. He sighed and looked down at her, not moving at all.

'You know this isn't right?' she thought, What does he think? I'm hitting on him? Making a move or something? Flirting? Give me a break... I'll take a kit-kat --haha. She stared up at him, now enjoying her fun. She got up, and walked around the front of him, before pouncing, knocking him to the ground, and laying on top of him. Being slightly stronger than an average human was nice. She was having fun now. She let her tail flop on the ground, the only part of her that wasn't on him. She rested her paws on his chest, and laid her head on her paws, her body shaking slightly, a smile on her face, containing her odd wolf laughter.

"Ow." Drew said as if it was obvious. He laid there, staring up at the sky before looking at her. She might have been enjoying herself, but all he wanted to do was leave. He sighed loudly, slightly exaggerated and crossed his arms, looking up at the sky again. Think she would be mad is I shot her again? he asked himself sarcastically. Deciding not to he tried pushing her off, knowing someone would want to know why it took him so long to get back to the sky tower.

Chase stared at him, and turned human. She propped her head up on her elbow. "You know, this is all actually really fun," she said with a gentle giggle, smiling like she was enjoying herself. Luckily there wasn't many people in this area, but one couple that did walk by, stared at them in an odd way, before shuffling along, and away as fast as possible. Chase laughed. "What a story they'll have to gossip about," she joked, concentrating, trying to hear what they were saying. She looked annoyed. "Wow, what exaggeration," she said sarcastically.

Drew raised an eyebrow at her, glancing at the couple that passed. "What'd they say?" he asked, still slightly annoyed that she was just laying there. He sighed impatiently, waiting for her to get that point that he wanted her to get off. Taking things into his owns hands he leaned upright and slipped from under her, getting to his feet. "Goodbye." he said dryly, walking faster towards the sky tower.

Chase rolled her eyes, and turned into a wolf. She ran after him at full speed, and jumped, her teeth locking on his shirt. She pulled, yanking him where she wanted him to go. She grumbled something unintelligible, and then let him go, jumping on him again, knocking him down, laying on him again.
