Theivery

Chase heard his words, and growled. She skidded to a stop, and turned around. Reluctantly she walked back to him, morphing into a human. She glowered.

"She's just a friend." he mumbled, glaring back at her. "Listen, she's just a friend. I never did and never will like her that way." he said, keeping the slight irritation in his voice hidden. He sighed, all the tension and irritation washing from his body, his eyes closed. Slowly he opened his eyes to meet Chase's gaze. "I like you, not her." he said, more like a promise than an actual statement. His mind frantically went over what happened between him and Samantha, trying to see if from another person's view. Impossible.

Chase stared at him, then heard shouts as she tipped off a sensor. She grabbed her head as a headache spread through her. One of the Fidele's tricks. She threw herself on Drew, hugging him as tightly as humanly possible. Why was this all so complicated?

Drew smiled slightly, wrapping his arms around her. He kept her close to him, his eyes shifting to only look at her. Some shouts stopped, replaced by disgusted and surprised gasps. Other yelled towards the both of them, their voices still disgusted. The only voice that really stuck out was the familiar one. It 'awed, obviously Samantha.

Chase didn't move. She closed her eyes in his chest, waiting. After a few moments, she was questioning why they hadn't shot them both dead yet.

Drew's eyes reluctantly opened to look at the crowd. Some glowered at him with utter disgust while others had guns drawn. He flinched at the gun pointed towards both of them, though he couldn't stop himself from looking over their faces. Some friends, some people he didn't even know. With a sigh, he looked back at Chase, a smile tugging on the edges of his lips.

Chase knew setting everyone against Drew was wrong. She sighed, and hugged him tighter for a moment, before looking up, and kissing him. Then, without further ado, she pulled away quickly, turning into an eagle, and flying off down the hall. She saw an open window, and flew out it, gliding through the air space, bullets skimming over her, leaving shallow slices. They stung, but she'd survive.

Drew stepped in Chase's direction. He sighed, his eyes lingering in the direction she left, before going back to the crowd. He glared at them as he pushed his way through, the only one not yelling at him, Samantha. Though he didn't stop to see. He walked faster, pushing people out of his way as he went towards the doors.

Chase floated gently to the ground. She landed, and turned into a human, running away in the direction of of the Draorest Forest Region.
